About the Event

Every Step Is A Salute.

The Sekhon Half Marathon - Eastern Air Command Edition is held in honour of Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, PVC, the only Indian Air Force officer to be awarded the Param Vir Chakra.

Inspired by his extraordinary courage and sacrifice, the event brings together civilians, defence personnel, veterans, students, corporates, and athletes to celebrate the values of service, discipline, and national pride.

Whether you run to compete or to commemorate, every step is a tribute to those who protect our skies.

This version aligns with the elegant, legacy-focused design of your website and maintains the same emotional impact while being much more concise.

Why Guwahati

The Gateway to the North East. The Pride of the Eastern Skies.

Nestled on the banks of the mighty Brahmaputra River, Guwahati is the gateway to Northeast India — a city where timeless heritage blends with modern energy.

As the host city of the Sekhon Half Marathon — Eastern Air Command Edition, Guwahati offers participants a unique opportunity to experience the warmth of Assamese hospitality, breathtaking riverfront landscapes, and the vibrant culture of the Northeast.

Running through this iconic city is more than a race — it's a celebration of endurance, unity, and a tribute to the courage and spirit of the Indian Air Force.
